Have you ever wondered where your love of gardening comes from? I guess you either love it or think of it as a job that has to be done. I grew up gardening with my dad, sitting in the garden where he would peel turnips while we sat and he would talk about dirt and his favorite crops to grow (good memories). I have taken his knowledge and incorporated it into my gardens and what I love to grow. When doing some genealogy research I ran across this ad in a copy of The Crook County Journal 1911. I guess this shows that gardening runs in many generations of my family. My Great-Grandfather Charles Walter Spring owned and operated one of the first nurseries in Prineville.
